was the first pilot project of Season Maniac.

 

The initiative was launched on 16th September 2015 at CAI02 (Contemporary Art Institute, Sapporo) along with the film screening from Thailand with the support of Hata Satoshi

タイの北の都市チェンマイと、日本の北の都市札幌をつなぐ第一弾。

五年前にレジデンスで札幌に来ていたタイ人映像作家 Patavee Viranuvat（Ａｒｔ君）が来札しています。

なのでトムヤムクン作って～とお願いしちゃいました！

加えてタイの映像作家のショートムービーとか上映する予定です

LOST was shot in Japan by Thai Cinematographer Sarun Srisingchai in the beginning of December 2014. The moment Srisingchai captured the footage made him realized how much he has lost during years in the industry serving other's stories.

"Free Falling" (ฝนสุดท้าย) is the experimental docu-fiction film that tells the story about a girl who dreams to leave a family in the city and move to live in the countryside by herself. The film is constructed using three different technical elements: documentary, fiction and hybrid.

 

“I became an artist to escape a world I really hated – the world of family life and its focus on financial security. Then I discovered that the art world is as much a system as the family world, so I gave up on it, until I realized that you can never be truly outside. That’s when I decided to use art to analyse the family system. In order to come to terms with it, I needed to understand what family means"

The latest collaboration from my favourite & our beloved artist 'Yuya Suzuki'

I met Yuya in 2010, and I told him straight away that 'You're a diamond' ~

In Thailand, not many people know who he is but so many people fall in love with his design ~ Yuya designed one of the posters for the first Doi Saket International Film Festival 2010. In 2013, he was invited to design the book for my grandfather's funeral.. He've moved to Berlin away from where he was born in Fukushima..

Thailand 2006 / 2007 is a series of images captured by Yuya, and I'm glad to see what he saw.
