"しっぽり" - Shippori is the first solo exhibition of Japan’s Moe Nakase held at the recently developed Slure Art Space in Charoenkrung, Bangkok. Charoenkrung, known for its vibrant and cultural vibe, is a district located slightly further from the hectic centres of Bangkok, and is a fitting venue for exhibiting this collection. Nakase expresses her inner thoughts and perspectives inspired by her brief residence in Bangkok.

Encaustic, a technique in which Nakase uses, is an ancient technique which dates back to approximately 4000 years. Nakase uses beeswax as a medium to convey her inner thoughts while simultaneously containing the beauty and the enigma of the natural element. Heat is applied to beeswax, in which is transforms into different chemical phases, then it is intricately fused with oil paint and transferred into fine wooden panels, fostering a contradistinctive vibe of dynamic tranquillity.

Nakase’s Bangkok Series was created by combining light and colour by applying heat to direct the unpredictable movement of the beeswax. Nature is no different, nature is full of inconstancies. From dawn till dusk, we experience a life full of unpredictability, a life full of opportunities, a life full of obstacles, but everything comes down to us. It comes down to how we choose to cherish the moments, how we adapt to the ever-changing nature and how we cope with the concept of change.

นิทรรศการผลงานเเสดงเดี่ยวครั้งเเรกของ โมเอะ นากาเสะ ศิลปินญี่ปุ่น ในเมืองไทย ณ ร้าน Slure Art Space ในย่านเจริญกรุง ที่ได้ถ่ายทอดเรื่องราวของตัวเธอเอง ผ่านมุมมองความคิด เเรงบันดาลใจที่ตัวเธอนั้นได้รับผ่านการมาพักพิงอาศัยอยู่ในเมืองไทยเป็นเวลา1 เดือน เพื่อสร้างสรรค์ผลงานชุดนี้ขึ้นมา

วิธีการทำงานของโมเอะมีชื่อเรียกว่า “Encasutic” ซึ่งเป็นเทคนิคเก่าเเก่โบราณมากกว่า 4,000ปี ที่ใช้วัสดุธรรมชาติเป็นสื่อกลาง เเต่คงไว้ซึ่งความสวยงามเเละน่าค้นหาโดยใช้ขี้ผึ้ง จากเมือง คานากาว่า นำมาหลอมละลายเเละเปลี่ยนสภาพ จาก ของเเข็ง สู่ของเหลว เเละสลายกลายเป็นก๊าซ จากความร้อนที่ถูกเผาไหม้ ผสมผสานกันอย่างละเมียดละไมกับสีน้ำมันที่ถูกเทลงบนไม้กระดาน ให้ความรู้สึกถึงความเบาสบายแต่เต็มไปด้วยพลังงาน

ผลงานของโมเอะ ถูกสร้างสรรค์จากเเสงสว่างที่ผสมผสานกับเเม่สี เเละมีการกดหดตัวหรือเคลื่อนไหวไปตามเเรงเผาไหม้ของไฟ วิธีธรรมชาติของคนเราก็ไม่ต่างกัน ทั้งช่วงเวลา “สว่าง” เเละ “มืด” การเปลี่ยนแปลงเเละโอกาศมากมายที่ได้เผชิญเข้ามาในชีวิตซึ่งเราเองก็ไม่สามารถที่จะควบคุมมันได้

อยู่ที่ว่าเราเลือกจะจดจำช่วงเวลาไหนเเละแปรสภาพความเป็นอยู่ให้สามารถลืมตาเเละหายใจได้ปกติมากเพียงใด
