URDC 2021 - Message from the Project Director

Dear all,

Regarding a surprising number of contacts reaching out to URDC recently about this year's competition updates, we feel very honored, and please have our thankful appreciation hereby.

The committee's decision to postpone the schedule of 'Urban Reimagine Design Competition & Showcase 2021: "decentralization" ' until the situation is relieved has been considered by putting every participant's safety as our first priority.

Recommended in the FAQ, we assure to keep everyone connected and updated through the official channels.

Despite unexpected obstacles, URDC is and has always been moving forward towards our mission ever since founded - in either way or another.

By the competition's mission and direction, we are well aware how the severe situation happening around now could not be ignored by anyone, on any level.

It has also become our ironic lesson how the activities we attempt in working to develop this world - could be stopped by frustrating causes that are not in our hands to control.

We are, ourselves, reminded how these irritations would likely happen again and again along this path of lifting up the ceilings.

So youth, things may stop us today but it cannot stop your wishes of being a part of a better world.

Our beliefs in creativity and hope will be immutable, as we know - sophisticated minds like all yours exist and await to shine - if not today then tomorrow. In the most inclusive way and appropriate timing, we will be doing our best to take everything further.
