CineLounge ASIA is an exclusive & member-only creative space established in 2025 by Alternative Universe, dedicated exclusively to professionals in the film and content industry from across Asia and Worldwide. Officially commissioned on 30 April 2025, its debut was aligned with Arashi Night at Grey House Bangkok, situated in the Yen-Akat district — Bangkok’s emerging “New Aoyama,” conveniently located near One Bangkok and MRT Lumpini. The site is a continuously evolving mixed-use space, tracing its lineage to the Slure Project (2019) Architectural Design by Win Rojanastien, before political and structural constraints forced its reinvention.
Designed on a shoestring budget but with maximal creative ambition, CineLounge ASIA rejects conventional architectural norms in favor of a more experimental, adaptive spirit. Over the years, it has provided sanctuary, support, and exposure to emerging cinematic voices such as Nawacharee Piyamongkol aka BoBo, Chanonpawon Non Sukhavanich aka Non, Mutmee Pimdao Panichsamai, Msyves, Sivaroj Kongsakul, Wanlop Rungkumjad Rasiguet Sookkarn, Tongpong Chantarangkul.
The space also houses a private art collection featuring luminaries including Somluk Pantiboon, Apichatpong Weerasethakul, Rirkrit Tiravanija, Charannatan Tanachoteporamat, Uthis Haemamool, Natcha Sophonpanich, Surachai (Niam) Mawornkanong, Thanachai Ujjin, Thee Chaiyadech, Prabda Yoon, Pinaree Sanpitak, Kineta Kunimatsu, Moe Nakase, Kusofiyah Nibuesa, Phongsakorn “Thank” Mahapaurya, Pawnthep Chipthong, Tae Parvit Pichianrangsan, Miti Ruangkritya.

CineLounge ASIA offers an array of distinctive spaces thoughtfully designed to nurture creativity, collaboration, and reflection. These include the BlackBox Gallery, an experimental dark-space exhibition room curated by invited curators from across Asia; the Above-the-Line Studio, a private meeting space for up to 6 people, ideal for creative discussions and project development; and the Guest Lounge, a warm and intimate setting accommodating up to 10 guests.
For film screenings, the venue features the Glass House Screening Lounge, comfortably hosting up to 20 viewers; the cozy Children’s Room Screening Lounge, suited for 2–4 people; and exclusive Above-the-Line Private Viewing Suites, seeking an elevated viewing experience. Complementing these spaces are the Tiengna Corner, an outdoor activity area for informal gatherings and creative events, and a Mini Art & Literature Library, offering a tranquil retreat for reading, research, and inspiration.
Independent and self-sustained, CineLounge ASIA stands as a heartfelt homage to the enduring spirit of Asian cinema. It also serves as a living memorial to three beloved figures — Kim Jiseok (May 2017), Kringsak Silakong (March 2022), and Hassaya Rimphanawet (June 2022) — whose passion, vision, and dedication continue to illuminate the path for filmmakers and dreamers across generations.

In collaboration with White Light Post Studio, CineLounge ASIA co-hosted the launch celebration and creative gathering, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the space. Recognized as one of Thailand’s leading post-production studios, White Light Post has worked on a range of acclaimed international and regional films, including Memoria by Apichatpong Weerasethakul, One for the Road by Baz Poonpiriya, Blue Again by Thapanee Loosuwan, Arnold Is a Model Student by Sorayos Prapapan, Anatomy of Time by Jakrawal Nilthamrong, and Krabi, 2562 by Ben Rivers and Anocha Suwichakornpong.
Renowned for their refined visual sensibility and mastery of color grading, digital intermediate (D.I.), and finishing, White Light Post brings cinematic craftsmanship that bridges art and technology. Their collaboration in co-managing the event infused CineLounge ASIA’s opening with creative vibrancy and international spirit — celebrating the shared vision of advancing Asian cinema on the global stage.
Together, CineLounge ASIA and White Light Post Studio aim to offer film creators a holistic environment: from ideation, curation, meeting, viewing, to post-production — all under one visionary, boundary-challenging roof.
Total of 99 participants from across the world joined the launch of CineLounge ASIA, marking a vibrant beginning for this new creative space. The gathering became a rare moment of connection — where filmmakers, artists, and friends of the cinematic world came together to celebrate the spirit of independent creation and collaboration. The evening reflected CineLounge ASIA’s core philosophy: that meaningful encounters and shared moments of inspiration can shape the future of Asian cinema.
